In Defense of the Semi Colon “;”

Stanford University’s selection of the “%” sign as the symbol of the year left the semi colon (;) dangling. To be fair, I want to give justice where due and recognize the importance of the semi colon as well.

Without the semi colon, no Java, no C, no C++ and countless other languages will ever compile and the world will be a dark place. To the semi colon and the people who put it on all keyboards and devices I say thank you. 🙂
